I really like this guy.
So, between Zenzi's surgery, Gina's prom, and Ella Moon's first birthday party, it's been a busy weekend.
I stole these pictures from Gina's FB friends. I haven't had a minute to upload any of my own. I might get to it tomorrow.
My ex told me today that I should start making art again. I said I would start on Monday. It shocked me, and touched me, that he would have any interest in what I do or do not do. He mentioned a certain triptych I made three hundred moons or more ago. Watercolor. Not the easiest medium for me.
I actually showed him the paintbox Ange sent me, and pointed out several no-longer-virgin tubes.
I moaned about the difficulty of managing the medium. Then I said, "I still haven't gotten over the B I got in watercolor class."
He said to work small.
He gestured with his hands to indicate the size.
So I'll work small.
120 minutes.
Tomorrow.
Things are not going all that well with Zenzi, and I don't even have a pathology report yet. She's just beside herself. The cone-collar, the drugs, the too-many people, the not-enough-exercise.
We slept close last night.
She's sleeping with Mr Z right now.
I'm too tired to sleep.

I'm happy to read this, though I see the struggle between the lines. I should have started here instead of Facebook.

You have the universe's permission to get back to the positive creative magic.
Obviously you've done a superb job of making life a happy thing for those you love. Now you go on and be a role model. We can love without sacrifice. We can create without guilt.
I got lots of B's in creative writing.
B's are the grade of rebels.

Lovely photos. The creative stuff is good for the soul, even if it's in little bits in the begin. Still working toward some form of stability here. Hope you're OK.
